Received some goodies a few days ago - all installed now:







Also ordered, but still to arrive are the FMIC, piping, BoV and some goodies to relocate my Air Intake ... :bananarock:

Well, turns out I had a couple cracks in my stock manifold ... so there was that issue...

But where it REALLY shines is above 5000rpm. It used to wane in power there, and now it just keeps pulling all the way to redline...

It's easy to keep it rust-free, even with our winters...

It stays garaged all winter. :2thumbsup:

... and here's some installation pictures with new Manifold, Downpipe, Radiator/fan and catch can installed:

Engine Bay (if you look *really* carefully you can see a small catch can snuck in behind the passenger side strut assembly):


Moving in closer... I hate the way the air-intake/filter is currently setup, but it's staying that way until the FMIC/piping/BoV and relocation kit shows up. Then I'll relocate the coolant overflow and move my air-intake/filter over behind the passenger-side headlight.

Side-view ... lots of room for a bigger turbo now if I choose ... That cheap little eBay manual boost controller (dump valve, really) is dialed-in to give me a bit more boost. I have it set to max at about 12psi now that the new manifold is installed.


BTW I initially made the mistake of turning up the boost BEFORE I put in the oil catch can. That was a BAD idea, haha. I ended up with some oil getting into my intake manifold and the idle-control-valve. If your normally smooth-idling 4E-FTE is suddenly idling at barely 500rpm and the engine is shutting off as a result, carefully take apart and clean that idle control valve, LOL. did the idle problem go away after you clean the idle air valve?
