1993 Distributor Cap Changes

Rotor and cap points inside had wear and I was getting heavy misfiring. I've since bought 2 new caps and am finding that the points inside are a different diameter than whay came off. Even with a new rotor its arcing due to the wrong size I'm guessing. Anyone had issues with this before? :icon help:

***UPDATE***

I have found after ordering 3 different caps that the one that came off of my car had the male fittings for the spark plug boot to go over just as it does to the plug on the other end. Every distributor cap that I am receiving has female fittings on the cap and the points are a smaller diameter. I ordered the part number that came off of it and apparently it has been changed to this narrower diameterpin in the cap as well...I'm stumped because I can't find the older style anywhere except for a 1990 Tercel but the cap body is a different shape with different mounting holes. FRUSTRATED :thankyou:
