So i finally drove the car for the first time since I started my auto to manual swap.

It shifts through the gears a bit tight but all the gears select. I really love how the clutch feels.

I can feel it grabbing but to depress the clutch is still comfortable not as rigid as I thought it would have been.

This is good so it doesn't kill me on those rough traffic days which are sure to come.

Grabbed some bucket seats over the past week and thats next on my to do list.

Which buckets are you going with? I put paseo seats in mine, but I'm thinking of changing them for something just a smidge bigger - like an integra seat or something...

I was able to get a set of NRG Bucket seats for a reasonable price so thats what im working with. I went to the junk yard and got some stock seat rails to chop up to make a bracket to mount them on. I'll throw up some pics tomorrow. Paseo seats are a direct bolt in right? Did they feel vastly different than stock seats?

So I have been super busy the past couple months that I haven't had much time to update the thread as I was busy moving and taking care of other life stuff. I finally got some time over the weekend and I was able to install some new corolla calipers and rotors.

I need some help with my microsquirt ecu that Im trying to get running on my tercel. I installed it and it fires the car enough to start it but it idles real rough. Just looking if anyone here can guide me as to the right settings to get it going.

I don’t know much about microsquirt but I did a megasquirt on a paseo. I’m not sure how flexible the microsquirt is, but ignition setup was tricky from my experience. What are you doing for fueling tables?

The microsquirt is essentially a mega squirt minus a few of its features.

So far I just entered the parameters for my set up which at this point is a stock 5efe engine and it automatically generated ignition and fuel tables based on injector size and and target air fuel ratios.

I just want to get it idling ok then can tune it out after.

So I’m noticing this is a DIS 5e, whereas I did a 1st gen 5e with distributor...

What did you do for the crank (trigger) wheel settings, rising or falling edge detection, dwell settings (if applicable for Coil On Plug, COP), how did you determine TDC so you know your cranking & initial ignition timing is correct, are you using a wideband (if so what are AFR’s?), and After Start Enrichment parameters?

Are you using TunerStudio or MSExtra?

For the crank trigger wheel setting I used toothed wheel option. I have seen others use 36-2+2 but the stock trigger wheel is a bit different so wasnt sure this would work. Not running coil on plug yet so set it to wasted spark. HAve a wideband but havent installed it yet. I havent tested for TDC and ignition timing just yet as im waiting to get a timing light to do it the proper way. I was gonna place a pole in the cylinder and turn the crank to get an idea but thinking to just wait on the timing light.

Using tuner studio

What set up did you use ie trigger wheel, rising falling edge, after start enrichment parameters. Any help would be appreciated.
