Problem is, I LOVE the turbo car noises, and you aren't gonna beat anybody with a 200hp car anyway. So the daily will probably stay stock powerwise, while I spend my time trying to get closer to 300hp out of my Paseo.

I agree with you on the turbo noises which is why im thinking of only making the appearances be stock meaning it only looks stock but if you pop the hood its a different story.

My aim is not to beat everyone because as u rightly said 200hp is nothing these days but i just want to be able to make people look twice when they think they would pull away from me but still see me keeping up lol.

what plans do you have for the paseo?

I was able to do the strut brace install over the weekend. Here is how it turned out. Nothing fancy with the install, remove two nuts install the brace and reinstall the nuts.

I just wanted to say that your engine bay could definitely use some loving with some purple power :lachen: but the strut brace does look nice!

The paseo is getting my turbo 5E setup from my tercel which was crashed. Megasquirt, Subaru TD04L turbo, E85, simple stuff. Makes mid 200s on 24psi, I'm gonna add some more parts when it goes into the Paseo, plus the car will be gutted and more of a racecar than the Tercel body was.

If you browse this forum someone literally has a whole 15 pages dedicated to running his megasquirt in his 5th gen tercel. Some canadian dude with a black 5th gen.

No, I bought the car from a member on here, running on the MS, but then the engine blew and all other sorts of stuff fell apart. I haven't had to re-wire it, but I will have to change some things when I put it in the other car now. It uses the majority of the stock harness though, wouldn't be too bad of a project if you're mechanically inclined.

Springs are here.

I was looking for some springs that were not to expensive but would still give you some amount of performance when needed and I came across the Vogtland spring.

Appearance wise they dont look too shabby, I hope they perform just as well.

I haven't posted in a while as I was busy over the holidays with family and Christmas stuff.

I was able to pick up a TD04 the other day for my project. It seems to be in great condition as it has no signs of excessive oil and no sign of shaft play.

Not going to go too much into detail as to why I chose this turbo but if really want to know check out the link below. You will also find more pics there too.

springs will be good enough for your struts... it's not like coilovers but it will do the job better than OEM springs for sure!
