Issues after engine swap

I finally got around to putting my new engine in. I also relocated the battery to the trunk (2/0 welding wire for positive, 2/0 and 4 ga ground to chassis and (2) 2/0 ground straps to the engine block). I have the the factory positive wires going to a distribution block connected to 2/0, also connected a 4 ga wire to starter and a separate 4 ga to the alternator.

The car starts (after an fun game of your starter is shot:censored:) and runs well, but the idle is running around 1500 to 1800. I cleaned the IAC and TB with no change, checked the tps output with DMM and is in spec, can't find any vacuum leaks not sure where else to look.

The other problem is getting odd error codes like p0120, an igniter code (can't remember the number) ans a vss code (speedo now works whenever the hell it feels like it). Read that this might be due to the ecu going or at least the capacitors (checked them and they look ok no bulging or leaking). Any ideas?:censored:

What motor? Year of the car swapping into? I would try the idle air screw to bring it down a bit. Mine has an issue where the cable is binding and it sticks sometimes with my 4e swap in a 94 tercel.

Good luck.

It must be the IAC, if I plug the hole at the base of the throttle body that leads to the IAC idle returns to normal (well about 1000 rpms). I have burped the cooling system so don't think that is the issue. I even switched the IAC from the old motor (that was working fine before the swap) over with same effect.
