Koni!!!!!!!
I bought a set of Konis.
8641-1214 sports
8040-1216 sports
Should be here in two weeks or so.
Getting the ground controls also.
Picking up Corolla C52 trans tomorrow.
Can someone direct me to some forged pistons and rods. Having a little trouble, I thought 4efte and 5efe pistons are the same. Had wossner tell me
they are not interchangeabl.
Things are happening!

For forged pistons and rods you try http://www.raceeng.com or Alamo Autosports.
For rods only you can try cxracing.com
4EFTE & 5EFE use the same size pistons the difference is the CR

Update:
The Koni debacle continues.
After not hearing back from the eBay vendor for over a week, I sent a email just to ask when I could expect arrival.
A couple days later I got my answer. They don't stock them and they can't get them. Why list them for sale then!
I have contacted another vendor but I am not to sure they will be able to come through.
My reason to go with Konis was their adjustability and above "stock" stiffness and durability.

Second vendor failed as well.
Those Konis that were listed on eBay were not available.
The vendors didn't know that the shocks were discontinues by Koni over a year ago and the vendors didn't carry them in their inventory.

I guess it's going to be KYBs and ground controls.

Update:
I'm going with Bilsteins and ground controls. Bilsteins are $693 shipped. Way over budget.
I did find them cheaper but those were through the same vendor I had problems with the Koni listings. And they won't return any of my email questions.
I'm getting these through TDC Automotive and they were very prompt and helpful.
On a side note, i will be moving my project into my garage on October 31 and going hard at it this winter. I have been collecting a lot of parts and
should have enough to keep me busy. I hope to have the first incarnation driveable by spring. I will be charting my progress on my WIP thread, if
anyone is interested. And as always, feel free to tell me what I'm doing wrong or if there is a better option.

Bilsteins are Not adjustable. That's why I was bummed about the Konis being discontinued, they were adjustable.
