When they were planning on trading it in, they offered it to me, with my Paseo going in on trade. I declined :hand:

It was ultra-mint condition. Garaged all it's life. I think the Camry had around 60000 miles when they traded it off.
I paid 500 bucks for it 3 years ago and besides maintenance and replacing a radiator I've never had issues with it. This one happens to be 5 speed and even though it wasn't my ideal car it was different since it was 5 speed and I love weird shit

Is it normal for these cars to have alot of engine noise? This one sounds oddly loud. I've never owned one or knew anyone that's owned one.

You might need to adjust the valves.

Both those cars are modifiable

I've done 3SGTE swaps in quite a few Camrys including one like that

I think they guy's name on Toyota Nation is Wangan or Wangan13...something like that

And as for the Terc....well....I've done damn near everything with those

Welcome...you're definitely in the right place :deal:

I'm about to do a 5sfe swap because my buddy has a spare one laying around and get the gte oil pan so I can go forced induction:naughty: and as far as the tercel goes for now I'm going to focus on keeping it a clean reliable little ride but I'm definitely reading up on everything in case I get a wild hair to mod it out. I think lowering is all I'm going for at the moment.

5SFE* Celica version more boost friendly than Camry. 3SGTE is the one you want boost on.

I'd love to do the 3sgte but the funds won't allow that at the time. The 5sfe is only 100 bucks and I'm just going to use all the electricals from my 3sfe. Most simple swap I could come up with as this will be my first swap.

Lowering

When you lower your Terc, keep the original springs, they're hard to find aftermarket, at least in my experience. I was given my '93 already dropped and now I have to figure out how to pass Safety Check in HI. You need Recon if your car is modified suspensionwise. Also, if yours is the 3spd. auto, make sure you change the diff. fluid, it is separate from the main trans. Those trans grenade because nobody checks/changes the diff fluid.:2thumbsup:

haha OK will do for sure. But thanks for the tip on the diff I will definitely look into that cause it is the 3 speed and shifts a little hard from first to second.

Yup
Totally happened to me, my diff got shredded but then I swapped to a 4speed auto so no more separate diff fluid lol

What are some good looking wheels for these cars? Wanting something different. I don't really like the ones on there now.

Personally I like Miata wheels. They fit like a glove, look nice, cost low and lightest 15" wheels without getting deep in pockets. You can sand the Mazda emblem off if desired.

It's been alittle while since I've posted. I've been dealing with an odd idling problem. I've replaced a few parts but it's still there every now and then. I honestly haven't messed with it too much because I've been having issues with the other vehicle. Anyone ever had idling issues like its going to shut off? Rpms randomly drop?
