i posted a pic of the 20v in another thread, but nobody noticed... i'll definitely post pics when i get the other '92 tercel home...
the 20v will get stock bumpers put back on, so the bodykit can go on the '92...
the 20v will still get the above mods, then i hope to do an open/quad-throttle conversion... make some N/A noise...

minor upgrade...
pulled stock tercel 4spoke airbag wheel & removed airbag wiring/controllers, etc...
installed paseo 3spoke non-airbag wheel...
tercel- 15" wheel, 1+1/8" thick outer ring...
paseo- 14+3/8" wheel, 1" thick outer ring...

it feels lighter and easier to handle...

i renewed the plates/registration on the car last month, decided that i will change the plates next April to "Hobbiest" so i can save a bit of $$$ long-term... only restriction is that i can't drive it during January... don't want to, anyway... :blah:

also... "Hobbiest" plates might cut me a little slack with local cops who seem to like pulling streetracers/ricers for exhaust, lights, behavior, etc., then tagging on extra violations, impound, etc... there's some seriously jacked-up old muscle-cars running on the streets 'round here, & this seems to be part of the key to getting around regular harassment... seems to be flag that says "WISDOT inspected"...

as long as i keep the 20valver mostly stock-looking, avoid asshat behavior...

took the 20valver into a decent exhaust shop...
told them i can smell exhaust with my windows open if i rev past 3000rpms... there is a leak somewhere up front that isn't obvious...
they put it on the lift, looked, started & ran the car (without revving) looked some more...
"i don't see nothing"...
WTF... i smell it every time i pull medium/hard from a stoplight, even on a windy day...
i guess i need to try a different shop...?

update:
busy at work, but more $$ coming in to spend...
passenger-side motor mount needs repair... poly bushing keeps sliding out of the mount... hasn't been a problem since i last "fixed" it, but might need more "fixing"... i think it needs a solid spacer... the other motor mounts look fine...
passenger side c/v joint was clicking a bit during cold weather, but not now... i think i'll get both done, since it's prolly related to the mount problem/symptom...
i did a bit of digging & searching, here, trying to get info about previous owners, and what mods they did to this car... found out that someone may have installed a lightweight flywheel & performance clutch about the same time the "phantom grip" LSD was put in... i need to find a real LSD to put in when i change the clutch...

motor mount "fixed itself" again, but still designing a spacer/bushing to keep it in... too much torque...
having fueling problems, engine sputters and dies occasionally in low idle, especially after hard revving... been idling at 1200-1300 rpms since i tuned it after purchase, but prolly need to bump it to 1400-1500...
A/F meter reads very rich, but the spark plugs tell a different story... running lean... tweaking the tps and pinching the fpr line confirmed the the fpr is not working right...
gonna clean the maf, change the plugs, filters, oil, etc., when i get paid this friday...
looking into an adjustable fpr, too...

any suggestions...?

that's a question for GTRevva... he did the swap & wiring on my car a long time ago...
i'm pretty sure if you send him your harnesses, he could set you up...
