does anyone have a good link to some documentation? I have searched with limited results.
I think I am gonna actually have to take a look at some vacuum diagrams and trace everything out to make sure this mixed matched car is set up correctly.

I have been just using deductive logic on it thus far. time for real troubleshooting.....(if I even know how to do that lol.... )

Here is a recap of what has been done so far if I can think of it all-
-Fuel Pump replaced
-Coil Replaced
-Cap, Rotor, Wires, Plugs.
-Distributor
-Igniter
-ECU (I have the 3ee ECU originally, and replaced also with a 3ee)

-Intake manifold - (wasn't sure if the Vacuum lines were the same)
-I believe I have the 3ee Throttle Body Mounted up to the driver side of the 5efe IM that has what looks like the EGR port on the IM.

---
Thankyou to all who have put any 2 bits in on this- I really am stressin out about getting this thing back on the road.

Zohar, can you post some pics of your engine bay? It's always helpful to see what you're working with.

There is a very simple modification in the wiring that goes to the distributor to get a 5E working on 3EE wiring. Since your car runs sometimes, I'm assuming that was done (in some manner). So if you can take a look to see if the wiring around the distributor has been cut/taped/modified, pics of that would be good too.

above are a few pics of my engine bay if anyone could help me identify the particular parts IM TB are what concerns me at this point.

When I got the car there were a few vacuum lines bypassed and capped off and things I can't make heads or tails what should or should not be bypass/capped off.

That looks to be a 3EE throttle body. Both times I've done a 5E swap, I've used a 5E TB, but I've heard of people using the one from the 3EE, so dunno if that is causing any issues.

I wonder since the TB is usually mounted 45 degrees from how it is on my car if those vacuum lines are not configured correctly. Any thoughts?
or know where I can find a good vacuum diagram for 5efe?

on't think those few vacuum lines would create those issues..... But anything is possible I guess.

Update, I put a few gallons of gas in the car, it started right up, went straight to gas station, filled up, then oil change, five minutes later car dies back to square one again........
