I still have my Daytime running lights and I run 6k HIDs, they don't seem to interfere with anything.

The module in the middle behind the radio, pull the black with yellow strip wire and that disables them, I had the same issue with my install, now it's all good

You don't have to take anything apart, it's easily accessible, it's literally beside your right foot while driving

You probably will, I just pulled the pin from my connector and left it there in case I need to hook em back up,

I think it depends on what kind of relay your kit came with. If the trigger voltage on the relay is low enough, then when you turn on the car and the DRL's are triggered, then your HIDS will just come on. That was the case with the 6000k kit I got and it's been working fine for 2+ years.

Thread Revive!

I'd like to either disable DRL on my Paseo or modify it so i can use LEDs as DRLs instead, so am i also looking for a black wire with yellow strip?

If i can't modify it i'd still like to disable them and i'll wire them somehow else and thrust myself not to forget to turn on the LEDs everytime i go...

Why do i want to do this?

-Well i could get a little efficiency from not powering halogens when i totally don't need them.

-Because it just might look cool.

[Truth]
-Because i don't have cable TV and my PS3 died on me and i need to kill time... (Miss Gran Turismo so bad :weeping:)
-because i can...
[/Truth]

DRL with halogen ARE really usefull with winter :)

Halogen will heat and melt the ice ... no heat with LED

:twocents:

Interesting point Mu. I'll keep it in mind.

So maybe i should do this the other way around.

Adding a switch to my Low-Beam headlights to cut them off altogether, the wire LEDs independently, also with their own switch...
I'll see if i can do that cleanly...

On the other hand i was planning on getting a winter beater so that the Paseo doesn't have to face snow anymore...
