NO MORE $HIGH PRICED$ REAR DISC BRAKE PADS!!!

hi everyone...i got good news for those w/rear disc set-ups...pads u kno cost an arm & a leg and u have to wait for shipping...i was desperately in need for pads to the point i was rubbing metal to metal..:irked: i took a trip to the junkyard to find some that seem similar to our pads..thats wen i stumbled towards rear pads of an acura integra...they looked pretty similar accept for a cuple of tabs here & there but i thought they were close enough to try...i took me honestly about an 1/2 hour to do & they worked flawlessly :pepper: ...so dis is all u have to do...

integra pad on left...starlet on right

starlet pad is slightly wider than the integra as you will see..

original pad 1-3/16in

integra pad..1-1/4in

& there you go... :thankyou:

Not to rain on anyone's parade, this is a great find and all, but you can get the starlet rear disc pads at a Toyota dealer for about $40 with part number 04466-18010, and would likely only take a few days. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Just did this, worked great! had to go back and shave a little off after the initial cutting of the tabs, but all the work took less than an hour and a half. Thanks again.
