I pull my boat with mine. I've out run a Z71 pickup with the boat on the back too!!
Doesn't go up wet boat ramps very well though.

The boat is a 12' fiberglass with 15hp outboard. Total weight on trailer I'd estimate 900lbs. The trick though is I have it balanced so the tongue
weight is only about 75lbs. I've heard to keep tongue weight less than 200lbs. I think 200 would damage the rear struts.

think of a 200 pound dude standing on the back
make it less than that
of course you could always go buy a set of air shocks and weld up a mounting point for it in place of the stock rears or hell maybe they will just
bolt in lol

wanna say that balance should be key no matter what your pulling.
And i know for a fact that one of those kit trailers from harbor freight tow just fine & I have personally witnessed a 4th gen towing a 4 wheeler
(the kind you take to the hunting lease, not the dirt pit racing kind) i wouldn't try to pull a pop up camper though.
but it would help to know what you're trying to achieve in the end...

The most i would tow is like an old coleman pop up but it would probably just b a small single axle trailer to tow say a dirt bike or an atv. nuthin
over 1000

as long as you can get the weight of that bad boy nice and even on the axle of the trailer to keep a low tongue weight
i would get the paseo brake upgrade for sure tho

something to think about with the whole pop up trailer bit.
would it be just you or you and another person? or you and some people?
lets say its just you maybe one extra person. build a minicamper using a kit trailer as a base. or set up the kit trailer so you can set up a tent on
it. here is a rough idea of what i mean
http://dornob.com/modified-bike-trailer-doubles-as-diy-mobile-camper-home/
something like this would put the least amount of stress on your car, and if you do it right can actually be pretty comfortable (and cheap)
if the idea is to pile 3-5 people in the car plus all their crap and tow a coleman pop up, buy a beater truck. save yourself some pain

Funny thought, I've seen Tercels being pulled behind campers for a kicker car but this will be the first time I saw a Tercel pulling a camper.

Front wheel drive cars are not really suitable for pulling a trailer. Remember, the Tercel is about the lightest car out there. Pulling the weight
is half the problem, the other is stopping. I would think that the very most you should consider is a flat bed aluminum boat with your 15 inside.

Actually other than leaving a stop you wouldn't know it's back there. I do have overkill rear brakes though.
