nevermind so if i install cruise springs i should recheck the shims clearance??? is there any use going with cruise springs if im keeping the 5efhe cams? i'll lose power going with stiffer springs right?

any time you swap cams you have to check the clearances.

then you dont need to, but it takes like 10 min. just do it anyway for peace of mind.

well known mechanic/tuner??

a bum from the street i paid 5 bucks to tune my car??

basically has he ever tuned a car before yours?

because he pretty much doesnt know jack :censored:

and of course its not making power your drowning it in fuel


what did he set the rev limiter at??? its a mega squirt he should be able to set that ya know its like kind of what its supposed to do

and definitely go with cruise springs

and you can check the clearances yourself with a set of feeler gauges in like a minute

check em all

write it down

swap around and replace as necessary

check em all again

i made that manifold a couple years ago.... and the reason why it goes so rich after 6300 is because the boost drops instantly for some reason .... and i'm guessing its because the valve springs are too weak???

the boost is dropping because there is too much fuel, not the other way around.
if the boost was coming down the ecu should inject LESS fuel.

jeeze, who is this so called tuner? just buy tunerstudio, set up the af target tables and let it autotune. dont go crazy on the timing and you wont hurt it.

no it's not as simple as just too much fuel..... there is something else... so we didn't bother tuning it more cause it wouldn't make any more power afterwards.... it's not caused by drowning in fuel...
