Wiring harness: where do these plugs go?

Realized that the original plug was still on....(trevor told me I was missing some plugs).

Green plug = original
Black plug = one that trevor gave me
You can see that they are slightly different...I may have to swap the plugs I guess?

What's this plug and where does it go? There is a cap on it in the picture.

I later figured that the first 2 from the left are for the o2 sensors...the 2 on the right I have no idea where they go.

Another shot...whats that little guy I'm holding between my middle finger and ring finger?

Does this ground attach to the starter?

What's this last plug on this end for?
Any help is appreciated...thanks a lot guys!

Last pic is your boost solonoid(VSV) I believe.
2nd to last looks to be ground and should go to the head somewhere.
3rd up from the bottom, you have one that has a bare terminal, that looks to be your oil pressure switch(monted on front). The white squarish one one
in that same pic is radiator fan temp switch should be on your t-stat housing.
2nd from top the grey looks to be your O2 sensor plug.
Some of the up close ones its hard to tell because I can't see the where bout the harness its coming off of.
I prolly missed quite a bit, but Trev should be able to answer you in one shot.

Billy, link that thread to TercelGTS's wiring diagram that you colored. That has pics of plugs. Should help out a little.

weird little plug in 2nd to last is for the knock sensor. It kinda slips on the little nub on the sensor.
the first pic...hmmm... there are two ECT sensors on the tstat housing- use the one that makes your gauge work. Think you have a picture of one in the
2nd pic.
2nd to last is not a ground, it's the hot wire. if it reaches the starter, it goes there. If it reaches the alternator, it goes there.
3rd pic- I dunno.
4th pic- square one wire is O2 sensor. connect it to the female in the pic of the same color. I think one of the plugs on the left is for the coil.
Last- boost hi/lo solenoid

While you may be right logtail, let me try and explain why I think what I think about those plugs.
Here is the diagram. Compare the knock sensor and O2 sensor tab slots in this diagram to the one in his pic. Not that it wouldn't work but the tabs
won't align obviously.

And here is what I've known the alternator strap to look like.

Of course, I could be wrong, but that's just what I've come up with.

When we dropped the engine in, we have to take off the "shifting thing" for it to clear. When we put it back, we realized that we couldn't get the
gears to go in 1st or 2nd gear. The rest of the gears work....and I'm sure I didn't get a 4 speed tranny. Here are some pics of the progress. I
circled what he removed.

The shot of the engine bay...if anyone can mark all the I don't need
on the firewall, that would be lots of help. All the crap from the 3e is confusing me.

It came out alright....we had to tilt the engine though. The frame in the engine bay where the battery sits is where the problem came in. That's why
he took it off for the engine to clear when we were lowering it into the bay. Either way, we'll have to take it off and hopefully get those gears
back.

When you take it back off look inside and you'll see three 'fingers'. All three must be lined up (nuetral) then the part reinstalled. I had to learn
this when converting an MR2 transmission to FWD.
I knew it'd be a good idea to include the pics of those plugs!

Another thing I forgot to mention, I need to replace the passenger side seal on the tranny where the axle goes in. Does anyone know what those are
actually called? I've tried "transmission seals" and "axle seals" and "the freaking circle thing that fits in the damn tranny to stop oil leaks" but
can't find it. Want to know the part number before I go to toyota.
