Ford Focus rear calipers are easy to find? Are you talking about the ones for the SVT or are you talking about the smaller size stock ones? These were available only on Zetec equipped cars with the ABS and traction control in the first two years. I'd be interested in a set with carriers if you can get more of them.

thanks to everyone for all the comments. rustyvolvo i was thinking of the stock size run of the mill type not the svt. after looking at a few focus's though i think i'll go with the jetta gli calipers...looks like the tercel parking cables will work better with them. at this point i'm not trying to build the worlds biggest tercel rear brakes just somethin thats a step up from the stock drums and hopefully balinced with the front brakes. based on info that i could find the 5th gen tercel has a 9.37" front rotor and a 48mm piston. the 1st gen paseo is 10" with a 50mm and the jetta comes in at a 9.5 with a 48 front and a 8.9 with a 36mm rear i think that puts us in the ballpark for sizing. i'll try to keep all of you posted on my progress and if everything works out a through how to with lots of pics. ron

are you sure you won't change you mind? why...is there something wrong with the one i have?

dude! this is great!

its the breakthroughs we have been waiting for, but no one was willing to try! awesome!

just remember though, the starlet rear discs are more than enough when you get good pads on them, so going much bigger than that is a little overkill, but i can see you already know that

good work!

This setup looks awsome.
My volkswagon freind said something to me about this but I thought he was full of it wow just wow.

How do you plan on making a bracket to fit to hold the caliper?

By the way welcome to T.O. great work keep it up!!!!:2thumbsup:

Either way, somebody best be finishing one of these rear disk conversions.:bah:

We should be able to run bigger wheels now put more rubber in the rear.
Wider tire maybe 9 inch wheels or somthing.
