Mantafelix's new 5th gen... it's a surprise!


Hello, i decided after alot of thinking to start a WIP about my 1996 Tercel Sport that i want to convert for track use... slowly but surely. :smug:



I'll start with the stats:

STOCK

- DIS 5efe engine with EGR (231000 Km's)
- 5 speed tranny
- front sway bar
- 14" alloy wheels
- side skirts :naughty:
- color matching painted bumpers
- tercel sport floor mats
- sport decals on the fender and trunk
- spoiler with led light
- all black cluster with tachometer
- remote power steering reservoir
- 2 doors

MODIFICATIONS

- corsa tail lights
- clear corners
- hella optilux 2500 road lights
- 2.5" magnaflow muffler on stock exhaust line
- 14" stock alloys painted in black
- front paseo brakes
- tinted windows
- debadged trunk
- nice custom sound setup
- apex'i safc
- digital rpm with shift light
- all interior lights red
- apc pedal covers
- paseo shifter knob
- front strut bar
- eibach pro-kit springs 1" drop
- kyb gr-2 shocks

I installed the SAFC today, and the front shock/spring combo... i'm waiting for KARRS95 rear GR-2's to come in by mail, they should be there in the week and i'll slap them on next week-end. :pepper:

I got this to install too... i only need the endlinks. :weeping:





So, i got big overall projects for this car, but this year i'll just put a custom CAI, 295cc's injectors, headers, complete exhaust line, 6 core 10.5mm's spark wires, ngk iridium spark plugs, rear sway bar, wideband A/F gauge, exhaust temp gauge, corolla front brake swap, front sway bar polyuretane bushing/endlinks and i'll take out the whole interior... i only need to buy a daily driver before doing this since i got a child and i need the full interior right now.

Drove them to come see you my good friend... and i must say that i'm REALLY HAPPY with them. I only need the back ones and my damn rear sway bar installed and everything should be mustard! :2thumbsup:

I think i'll even invest in a lower control arm brace... :deal:

yeah I second that.

wrx run 2.25" for comparisson purposes ;)


safc, what for? how much of a difference did it make?
I know of a guy running one on a stock protege track car and it has gained him some improvements..

1.75 inch

BTW why are you putting 295cc injectors this summer if you're not getting boost until 1 or 2 year? If you put these, you'll have big adjustments to do on your AFC to get the proper mixture. I would say keep the stock ones and you can fine tune them with your AFC to get a little more fuel to go along your CAI and headers.
