:pepper: Well I just installed it like that plug and play, I did the wires but notice on the connectors they ready had the cables so I just put it on and everything works. Awesome the temp guage, fuel guage , rpm guage work, with no moving wires. I took the paseo cluster off a 1996 toytota paseo today at the junkyard paid 22 dollars for it with the hood opener awesome deal, Note my tercel is a 1996.

Yup! As mentioned, I'd heard of this being done with no wires
having to be moved... You are one of the lucky ones!!!

Now go enjoy your new addition...

PS: $22 is a STEAL!!!!

the dreaded mileage change lol, i tried to change the mileage back since my original cluster has 183364 miles and the paseo one got 200835, i tried to figure out a way to change it back but in the end just gave up and wrote down the old mileage and the new one

I did this swap yesterday on my 1997
Tercel. I took a black/blue wire from the 1997 Paseo donor car. I traced it across the car under the dash and found it was spliced into the black/blue that runs through the firewall and runs up to the computer behind the glove box. This is how the Toyota engineers did it and you don't have to run a wire through the firewall. It comes through in a white connector next to a blue one.

Makes sense, I tapped mine directly into the igniter but going to the ECM makes more sense.

For the guys wanting to correct mileage, if you're patient, you can open the speedo and set it to whatever you want. I usually set them to zero, so I know my mileage is my old cluster + the new one, and I get to goof around with people and say my car has 7000 miles on it now or whatever lol

Also, I put LED backlight bulbs in there, and converted the small T5 bulb to a full size 194 to make it look even. Came out awesome with the white face Paseo cluster. Looks super modern.
